Thermometer and compass not working
I got in my truck and the thermometer and compass screen that's on the headliner didn't work. I checked all the fuses and everything is good. I started the truck afterwords and there was all kinds of numbers on the screen for like 2 seconds and then it disappeared. What could be causing that?

There have been a few posts on this topic, where the overhead display just takes it's leave.
Don't recall a repair How To on this, others have just replaced them. It is a solid state chip back there, that has the inputs from the probe and compass, and the display is attached to that solid state chip as well.
