seat belt light always on
seat belt light always on
i have a 04 f150 supercrew and the bell rings all the time and sometimes the airbag light comes on.if i put it in neutral while driving shut it of then turn it back on it goes away .any help out there??
no the airbag light on the dash will blink 3 times then stay on.and it only happens when the seat belt light gos out . if the seatbelt light and bell stay on the air bag light gos out .. it one or the other
Does it blink 2 sets of 3 ?
3 flashes then none is not a valid LFC.
The LFC of 33 is the driver's side pretensioner circuit, which could make sense if this happens when the seat belt is not connected ( and there is a problem in the pretensioner circuit that is only happening part of the time ).
Just a SWAG

yes i think 3 times .... 3 times again ,then it stays on .so any ideas where or what to start with?? i see there is alot of wires going to the seatbelt can i just chang the lower belt and fix this ??
It is something with the driver's side pretensioner circuit. Could be the wiring, or it could be the pretensioner itself.

would you know where it ,, the pretensioner is located and what it looks like??that sounds like the easiest place to start.is it the same thing as the seatbelt control module? someone told me that could be the problem.
This is more commonly called the seat belt retractor.
NOTE : Be VERY careful, as the Pretensioner has a pyro load in it, and can discharge !! You might want to consider having a dealer look at this, as SRS diagnostics require specialized equipment to diagnose.
It is at the bottom of the B-pillar, behind the plastic trim panel.
Q1. Have you had the seat out as of late ?
Q2. Do you have a flow through console, and if so have you been doing work in there ?
The RCM once it has crash data signals the Pretensioner to fire the pyro in it, to lock the seatbelt into place, tight.
The RCM is located in the center console if memory serves me correctly this AM.
The pretensionor circuit connector is under the seat, a light green w/ red stripe wire and Light green w/ black stripe wire.
Again, any checking with the SRS in this circuit could cause the pretensioner to discharge, and cause serious INJURY or DEATH.
Sorry have to give the same warning the EVTM has, just so you know what you are in for with this.

well thanks for all of your excellent advice it was all very useful.the end result was a front impact sensor that had corrosion on it. i had to take 1 bolt out clean with a wire brush spray with wd40 works to perfection.
Thank you for circling back around and giving the results. Some times this is missing out of threads.
