Theft Light Wire Color
Theft Light Wire Color
On the dash in my truck there's the theft light that goes on when it's locked.
Does anyone know what color wire I could tap into to get this circuit? I'm trying to add a blinking LED on the top of my dash to show my alarm system when my truck's locked.
I've searched through the forums, and searched my Hayes manual but still can't find it

You should be OK, as long as you watch how many you are adding.
This circuit is driven from the RAP directly.
The diagram shows an Anti-theft on the cluster. This is + Dark Blue w/ Light Green stripe & ground = black.

I was planning on adding one LED.
I figured the theft light was a standard bulb and the tolerance on the bulb is definitely within the range of adding the relatively tiny amount of current that an LED will source.
Thanks for your help
