Help, found headlights on while switched off.
Help, found headlights on while switched off.
Last night went outside and noticed yhe headlight were on on my 2005 F-150. My headlights were switched off and were off when I locked up the truck.
I have had Bi-xenon HIDs installed for nearly the past year. I had disconnected and reconnected the balasts earlier in the day yesterday. Everything operated fine after the reconnection of the balasts.
The headlights were on full bright and were unresponsive to headlight switch inputs. I had to pull the fuse to the HID relay in order to kill the headlights and not discharge my battery.
I need help to rectify this situation. Electrical systems are a weakness for me and I don't know where to begin. I don't want to have to control my headlights by pulling and replacing the fuse. Could I be having a problem with the relay?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

When you installed these lights, did it come with a new relay, or did it utilize factory components?
Sounds like a short from what you describe, need more info on the system you installed and possibly even a wiring schematic if other components were used..
