Anyone know an easy solution to getting these lights off, i'm not good with all the mechanic talk so if you could put it in simple terms it'd be much appreciated.

It's a 1998 Ford F-150 Triton V8 4x4 Auto Ext Cab, 156k miles

Or if you have no solutions could you ball park what it would maybe cost to get it fixed.

One "no cost" way is to go to an auto parts store and see if they can "pull the codes" from your truck to see what the problem actually is. Most parts stores do not charge to do this, mainly because they figure you will buy the parts from them.

The codes, which most likely there are, will give you a point to start at.

It could be an easy, inexpensive fix that you could in fact do yourself. That would be the first thing I would do if you didn't have a Diagnostic Tool to do it yourself.

Did you check your owners manual ?

Page 9 says if the parking brake light stays on after releasing the brake, it indicates a low brake fluid level.

Don't know if both indicator lamp came on at the same time, or if one was lit prior to the other ?

Autozone usually does not have the ABS diagnostic reader. This is the 2 pin ( think it is 2 pins ) connector by the hood release, it is usually held to the metal frame with a push in wiring harness holder.

Do you also have a CEL indicator ?

This would be on, and would provide something via the ODB-II system, if you have a reader that does the C codes ( Autozone is usually the P series only )

Start with checking the brake fluid.

Also, were you on the list for the secondary cruise control switch recall ?

If so, did you get it done ?
