so disapointed first off.. its a cheap cheesy looking key fob with one botton. i never no if my trucks locked or unlocked and its a guessin game if its gona start or not. sometime it will sometimes it wont will it just honked the horn a million times.. i had it installed today and im calling first thing in the morning to see if i can return it.. sorry just had to rant and rave somewere.. my dog didnt seem to care

 

Yeah I had the same feeling about the RS system. I had the $800 kit fitted before delivery ($1000 free option's early 08)

My key fob is a total replacment and has 6 button's on it.

Never let me down ...

Ask for an upgrade with the 6 button Fob.

 

do you have a ford remote starter? i used to have on my my 03 explorer and it had lock unlock start and tail gate pop all seprate buttons.. where would i buy the upgrade?

 

Yeah ... Ford Kit ... Ford fitted.

Press and hold for a few second's. Indicator's flash ... 3 second's later the light's come on (Day light driving light's ... A Canadian thing)

Engine fire's ... Truck remain's locked.

EDIT: I see you have a 2008 Truck ... Did you have an After market RS kit fitted? If it's the Ford Kit then Kick up a stink ..

 

There is nothing wrong with the single fob remote start. If it was wired the correct way, the doors lock when it senses its being started remotely. To know if its started or not hold the fob button down for 3 seconds and it will start. Sounds like your issue is the installer, not the device.
