When you say it is not the bulb, how do you come to this statement.

The stop / turn element in the bulb is different then the tail lamp bulb, so it very well could be a broken Stop/Turn element, where the tail lamp element is still fine, and the ground to the tail ight bulb.

Have you changed the bulb ? You make no note of this in the post.

Have you put a test light or meter on the tail light bulb connector and put the brakes on ?

Does the CHMSL still work ?

From the 2007 Pontiac G6 shop manual, the input from the BPP or the MFS is fed to the BCM. The BCM then controls which lights to change and how. In '07 the BCM controls way too much, to the point the headlamp switch is a signal to the BCM, then the BCM turns on the headlamps, and then turns on the indicator icon on the instrument panel.

I am not sure where the BCM is on your model, '07 G6 it is under the front flow through console housing. I think passenger side ( where the fuse box is ).

You would need to get a shop manual from Helm Inc, to know what the wire color and pin numbers are. There are multiple BCM connectors on the '07 G6.

Test the output of the BSM ( needle probe ) via the back side of the connector, to see if the turn signal power is there.

This is just a SWAG without knowing if the CHMSL works, or do the front & Indicator panel turn signals still work ?
