'06 Power window switch

Can someone tell me how to remove the power window switch from my 2006 F-150 Supercrew?

The window switch, window, motor and button work fine going up, but the button seems to be stuck and wont press down for the window to go down unless I press so hard it feels like I'm going to break something! That particular button seems to be sitting a little lower in the plastic outer shell than the others as well.

Any help is appreciated.

thanks.

Sounds like the contact is worn on that button it is a fairly common problem and it takes about 3 min to fix. The part is about $60 from a dealer. On the door panel you will see the out line of a box around that group of switches. Use a trim panel popper/puller (generally made of plastic so they don't scratch your interior) then there is a small clip on each side of the switch assembly that need to be released then just pull out the wires and connect them to the new switch snap into place and your good to go. Feel free to ask more questions if needed I am doing this from memory so it might be missing a step or two.

I always pull the silver speaker grille first.

There are plastic clips around the end of it ( towards the A-pillar area of the door.

Next the switch panel, the spring clips are towards the inside ( where your leg is with the door closed ) and tabs into the door panel on the other side.

Pop the clips on the side towards the compartment, then lift up slightly, then away from the door panel.

I had the same thing happen to my '06.

online parts places

2006 Ford F150 -> Mechanical Catalog -> Electrical -> Body Electrical -> Door -> Interior Trim

MSRP 64.37
Online ~ 42.00

The part number on mine was 5L1Z-14529-AA
