Hey guys...my 05 fx4 was working fine until one day I went to a buddies house for a couple hours and when I went to go start it up it was stone dead!! Couldnt even work the keyless entry!! I got it Boosted and just left it running for awhile.....and on my way home the lights would go dim and the heater fan would slow down for about 3 or 4 seconds then return to normal! That was two weeks ago but since then it has been happening at least once everytime I use it? Could this be the Alternator?

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts out there...

yeah sounds like your alt is shorting out could also be the voltage regulator, do you have a volt meter? buy one you can get them for like 10 bucks, put it on your battry and it should read just over o just under 14 volts with all the accesories off, put everything on highbeams heater int lights, everything and it should hold about the same, mabye .3 volts less if it gors down more than 12.8volts your alt is bad, also check your terminals at the battery for corrosion and tightness.
