my compass and thermometer stopped working recently and i have no clue what is wrong with it. i was reading other posts and they said that the circuit board most likely has a loose chip. i looked at it and i found nothing loose or missing. any ideas????

 

it's really hard to see and sometimes you cant. you can try to re-heat the connections but if no luck you will probabl need a new one or a used one from the wrekers

 

I also have a compass /temp light problem. Has anyone had the display work intermitently? lately, when I start my truck the compass/templight won't come on automatically. I have to toggle the switch. If I do it enough times it will usually start to work. only to not work again at startup. Anny suggestions?

 

same here...except mine has only started working ONCE in the last year... can't figure it out...

 

mine did that too i just hit it and it worked..... but after a few months it just went dark.
