Alright well first off I am a new member. My name is Josh I just bought a f-150 it is an 2006 XLT with the 5.4 V8 it has dual exhaust.

Okay, my problem is this the gauge on the lower right hand side, that shows miles, trip miles, outside temp, and compress went blank with morning it came back on but now it flickers. When i bought the truck i got the warranty on the truck also. so no need to say I am not going to fix this one even tho I feel I could depending on what is wrong. My question is has anyone had this problem before? What was the problem how was it fixed?

Any help or info would be great thanks again

Won't flame, but the search really works really well here.

Bulb is out behind the LCD cluster, thread has a link to another thread on removing the cluster, and a picture of the bulbs.

Might as well replace them all while you are there. Don't know if your coverage is including bulbs or not, they might charge for this ???

I have to ask, why do you ask if you are taking the truck in to have the work done ?

 

the light stays constant the data on the it goes blank. nothing but a green back lite screen. then the data comes back up but the data flickers on and off the back lite screen

i tried to find it with the search and yes it does work every well i could find something that match this problem.

to answer your question i am very hands on and i would like to know for my self if i ever have this problem again
