HID Head Lights and DRL

Hello I have tried to search for the answer but can't seem to come up with anything.

I recently purchased the bixenon kit from HID4u and my question is, will the HID's act as Daytime running lights or will they be gone?

Not knowing the mfgr of the kit you have, I would say they are gone.

Reason is, the DRL is the resistor that is inline with the low beam feed to fuses F23 & F25 ( l & R low beam fuses ). This means the low beam fuses are fed less then 12 V to make them illuminate.

If you apply less then 12 V to the HID ballast, this is the question, will they light ?

The operating range on the spec sheet for your kit would tell you if the HIDs would light when the DRLs are on, or not ( and they would be at full brightness, if they do ).

do you have fog lamps on your truck ? ( another route for CDOT regulations )
