Where to tap into 12 volts under drivers side dash?

Where to tap into 12 volts under drivers side dash?
I'm adding an aftermarket power window kit and need to splice into a 12V source that is on when the key is on. Cig lighters no good as they are always hot. What about headlight switch or fan switch?
