wiring harnesses

i installed a pace-edwards powergate tailgate lock, which works off of the door locks to lock the tailgate...pretty cool. problem is, i need to find the wiring harness with the PINK W/BLACK wire and the RED W/ORANGE wire, which is supposed to be located by the fuse block, to tap into the circuit and make it work. i found a PINK W/BLACK wire but there wasn't a RED W/ORANGE wire with it. does anyone know where this harness is located? or, can anyone tell me if the instructions are wrong and it's a different color wire? also, the locks shouldn't work if i unplug the harness, right? thanks.

Don't know why they have you looking for them by the Fuse block, the BSM / VSM is mounted on the rear wall of the 2004+ truck ( unless you have a 2004 Heritage model )

For a std cab truck, the BSM is located on the C-pillar under the driver's side rear speaker. For the SCab & SCrew, it is located in the center of the rear wall of the truck under the rear window.

The wire pairs for the driver's side :
Red w/ orange stripe & pink w/ black stripe wire
Other doors = pink w/ orange stripe wire & pink w/ black stripe wire.

These are at the BSM, not at the fuse block, or you can find them in the wiring harness from by the parking brake, going into the driver's side door.

awesome, i'll check that out. i've been looking at wiring diagrams and connector locations for a little over an hour trying to figure it out. i found the wires at the door, but was giving the "experts" the benefit of the doubt. i appreciate the response and the info! thanks a lot!
