Odd variation on "Door Ajar"

I'm having a problem with my interior lights. They stay on all the time. However the door ajar indicator on the dashboard works as it should. If you open a door it goes on. If you close all the doors it goes off. I removed fuse 14 from inside the cab and the lights went off. Unfortunately so did the power windows. Not acceptable. I'm baffled, if the truck knows the doors are closed why is it keeping the lights on ? I don't care about the interior lights so a workaround is as good as a fix to me.

I figured it out. A link from page 4 of the door ajar thread helped.
There was nothing wrong with my truck. The panel dimmer switch got moved
past it's detent and cause the interior lights to stay on. I feel like a dufus.
