No one answered my origional so here it is again,

I have a 97 F150 4x4 and the instrument panel gauge needles are not working... The lights in the cluster work fine but the needles do not move. I checked fuses but none were blown. My father had the same issues with the same year truck. His fix was to wiggle the key and it would work... ?!?What part needs replaced. I need a name or part number so I can order what I need. Please help
