Question Issue with dash gauges?

Hey guys,

I'm having an issue with the dash gauges in my 2002 SCAB 4x4. When I crank the truck in the morning all of the gauge needles will move to right. Right after the truck cranks the needles will fall back to the bottom and will stay there for a few seconds before they start to read. I am not having issues with the door windows, but I am with the sun roof. When I open it it does not want to close. I have to keep pushing the button and it will finally close. The question I have is are these two issues indicators that my GEM is going out? If not does anybody have an idea of where I should start looking? Thanks.

gauge sweep is usually a sign of a low battery. The same thing happens after disconnecting the battery. Time for a new one.

Power roof panel could be the switch is going ? I would say 2 different problems, start with a new battery first.

Thanks SScully. I'll look into getting a new battery.

I was also thinking the switch may be bad for teh sunroof because I am not having any issues with any of the other windows.
