Question 1997 Expedition (F150) Flasher Relay

I've read thru these threads finding differing opinions on where the Flasher Relay is located for my '97 Expedition. It is NOT in the fuse panel, where traditionally I would think to find it.

One poster says that it is up under the dash above the gas/brake pedals. Another tried to say it is behind the SRS panel on the passenger side. I simply want to replace the $12 flasher relay so my turn signals/hazards will flash properly once again.

There seems to be a box on the firewall, just to the left of the brake pedal, mounted with 2-3 nuts on bolts. I don't want to just start yanking stuff apart, but that seems to be where the sound comes from. I'm going to have to train my son how to use a socket wrench (a useful skill, at least) because I can't wedge my 250lb+ self down under there and use my hands, just my eyes at this point.

Any suggestions or proper direction is gratefully accepted.

Thanks!!!

It is in the blower/flasher relay block.
And it is behind center of I/P (F6 in the diagram below).
