zones 1-12

what does the different zones 1-12 on my odometer,trip odometer i discovered this a few days ago after resetting my trip odometer i held it to long and these zones came on 1-12 i have no idea, 04 F150 Supercrew 4.6L

If you have the electronic compass, they are for setting you magnetic declination.
