think i found the problem

I was wondering if the head unit had a battery too. good thinking!!!
I checked the voltage of the battery while running all is well charging etc.
then i let it run it self down to a level voltage which was 10.9v.
thinking to self should be around 12.? opened the door to activate timed lights. watched voltage drop drop 9.?v not good at all lights went off voltage jumped up again. turned the key to run and voila the head unit goes to low battery mode and resets at 9v and below. I had no idea the that there is a power protection for starting guess there is . well to shorten this lol a new battery was the fix . it was stong enough to start the truck just not run all the acc 2 yrs for a batter yuck off to fun with my first ford yippeeeee
