Keypad Entry (Lights working, Doors not opening)

The title says it all.... Im thinking its the actuators if thats what people call them.. anyone have any pictures of people replacing them or fixing the problem?

When I enter the code the door "sounds" like it opens/unlocking the door but it doesn't unlock it at all... I also have a problem with the inside unlock/lock button.. My truck is a 2000 Ford Lariat F-150.. THankz

the lock actuators are clipped on to the latch. once the door panel is off take out the bolt for the window guide and move the guide over. you will see the black plastic actuator on the latch stick a screw driver between teh latch and actuator and twist. It should pop off. install new one and you should be good.

But is the actuator the thing that is probably causing the problem? 100%?? I hear a clicking sound, but I guess it doesnt have enough force to push the lock up..

Did anyone answer your question?

Anyway - here's the link with pictures:http://www.fordf150.net/articles/idx...oor-Locks.html. Just copy and paste.

This patch works and will probably solve your problem. If you don't want to go into the little motor, just buy new actuators. I just bought a pair for $35 - work fine.

Yeah I've seen that, I think I'll go ahead and buy one. I don't want to burn my whole car down..
