2001 f150 steering wheel diagram

Hi, i'm wondering if any of you guys have or know where i could get a diagram or manual for the steering wheel electronics, because right now i have my train horns hooked up to a button underneath the dash n it's getting annoying to push. So i'd like to have a toggle switch thing underneath the dash and hook the train horns up to the steering wheel horn, so i could flip the switch n it goes from normal horns to train horns.
thanks alot, Mitch.

I'd like to do the exact same.

Just an FYI, if you didn't know. your train horn and your stock horn will sound at the same time.. unless you throw two switches in there.

well, what i ment was that when the switch was up, or down, the regular horns would go off when i hit the steering wheel horn, then vice-versa. My cousin did that same thing to his f-250 and he said he'd do it for me if i found a wiring diagram for my truck... or maybe he had like a 3-position switch or something... idk.

You need a "Single Throw, Double Pole" SWITCH. It has three prongs on it. You take the positive lead from the horn switch and attach it to the middle prong, then attach the other two outside prongs: one to the factory horn, and the other to the relay for the train horn, and the switch will direct the +12 volt to whichever outside prong you're switched to when you press your regular horn button. I am not sure the color of the lead from the horn switch though, but you can remove your airbag quite easily to see for yourself, it is just two torx bolts hiding underneath two plastic covers on the rear sides of your steering wheel& two wire clips. Or you could go to the horn under the hood and splice in. Im only suggesting removing the airbag if nobody can give you the wiring diagram, but it would be really easy to splice in under the hood, and run wires from your splice location and through the firewall at the rubber plug beside the steering shaft. Sorry about the length, hope this helps.
