The low beams should be fused separately. Check the fuse. High beams are normally fused together because they are on 1 circuit. Low beams have separate circuits.

Ok but it is only a single headlight not working.... should they not be on the same fuse left and right(low beam that is)??? I'll check but I doubt it is the culprit, wouldn't be my luck lol

Correct. The pair of lows will be on one fuse and the pair of highs will be on another. Check for corrosion on the wires. Work your way back on the wire. They are thin and prone to these issues. Swap bulbs to see if it is not a bad bulb.

Dead Bulb also....

JayPhoenix, Has this problem been an ongoing issue with your driver's side low beam? The reason I ask is because on my 04', the driver's side low beam was dead last week, I replaced the darn thing, and my luck this morning noticed it was out again. I'm going to start troubleshooting the wiring, but saw your post. Any info is appreciated man.

Not correct.

Driver's side low beam is Central Junction box ( cab fuse panel ) fuse #28 & the right side ( pass ) is Fuse #26 and the DRL module if installed.

1997 Owners manual page 138.

When you replaced the bulb it worked fine ? Then I am going to have to ask the dumb question, did you touch the bulb ( glass ) when you installed it ? If you did, that is why it burned out so quick.

Sorta forgot about this topic... sorry guys.

Problem still exists, it just was like that one day when I started it up. I know it's not a bad bulb, wiring is all intact no corrosion anywhere... will check the fuse and let you know...

You still need to check the fuse, but how do you know it is not a bad bulb ?

This is going round and round, and no note if the fuses are good.

Don't worry about the DRL, until you check the fuses.

BTW : DRL is Day time Running Lamp, it is the bulb at a lower wattage, so where is the DRL, in your headlamp, specifically the bulb.

LOL thanks all for the help and the "simple" explanation's. Yes it was the fuse finally got around to working on it the other day. And just to clear things up on the DRL thing, yes I know what they are I just am unaware as to where it is located is all .

None the less thanks a million for the help and in the future I will attempt to get on here more often to keep up to date on everything.
