Passenger side window Quit
Passenger side window Quit
'99 F-150, Power windows.
My passenger side window just quit working out of the blue. Luckily it was all the way up. I tried to lower it and nothing happened, no sound or anything. The weird part is that it has never shown any signs of the motor going bad, worked yesterday just as strong as it did 3 years ago. I tried lowering it with both the driver's side and passenger's switches so I know its not a switch. I changed fuse/relay and still nothing. Could my motor have just quit out of the blue like that?

To answer your question, yes they can stop working like that.
To say your tried both switches, and it is not that, is incorrect. The driver's side switch runs through the pass side switch, so if there is a problem with the driver's side switch, there is no power to the pass switch to have it work, or if the pass switch is broken, the power cannot get from the driver's switch to make it work.
1st thing would be to remove the door panel, and test the motor directly. Apply power and ground to the connectors for the motor, if nothing happens, reverse the polarity and see if it goes down.
Here is a thread on checking the window motor and replacing if required, as a starting point.

My '99 passenger side quit a few months ago, in the down position....
Turned out to be the Master switch in the drivers side, as stated above the switch in the passenger door is a slave.
