Slow moving window
Slow moving window
I tried a search and didn't really come up with anything definitive...
My passenger side window on my 98 F-150 moves slow as dirt aside from maybe the top 4" of movement; it's worse when it's cold, better when it's hot. Driver's side window slows down a good bit too when it get's below freezing.
Any idea's what's causing this? Motor's going bad? Regulators? In need of adjustment?

agrivating isn't it? My old 89' F-150... the windows on that thing went up and down like a raped ape! I got my 98' back in 03' and the pass. window has be getting progressively worse as the years go by. But even when I first got it, the right side was a good bit slower than the left!
do u mean between the black guards at the bottom and where is the best place to get some of this stuff and what should i look for...?
no those are the sweeps and will rainbow the glass. and by rainbow your glass i mean it will put a film of oil on your glass and make it nasty. You wanna put it in the runs on the sides of the glass that it glides in. Any automotive parts store will have some. its just a silicone spray, like wd40 but its clear.

yes the sides with the felt and is perfectly safe for tinted windows i hvae been doing it for years. just put the little straw in the nozzle an put the straw in the guides that way it doesn't get everywhere.
