Radio Static caused by Phone Charger
Radio Static caused by Phone Charger
When I plug my phone charger in to my 12V or cig lighter, my radio develops static. This is the only vehicle (2004 F150) I have experienced that in, under these conditions:
1. Phone is powered on and actively charging.
2. I'm driving on the outer edge of radio signal (however, station comes through clearly when charger is not plugged in).
Could I isolate some power wires to cure this situation? Or is it more of a wireless/rf issue? Thanks for any help you can provide.

I noticed the same issues when I first bought my truck, and the only thing I can say is if you have an extended cab, plug your charger into the power source in the back and throw your phone on the back seat. Other than that, it sucks!
