Code for door key pad

Code for door key pad

Hi just bought a 2004 ford f-150 fx4 nice black one.How do I find the code to open the doors?. The salesman is working on it been 2 weeks.I looked all over for a 5 digit number. Thanks Ron

On the 2004 + MY trucks, you need to get the factory code off the BSM / VSM, which is behind the rear seat on the SCab / SCrew body style.

Here is a collection of how tos that I put together from members here

Right Click, save as :

If you have a standard cab, the BSM / VSM is under the rear speaker in the C pillar driver's side. Pop the trim panel to get to it.

Thanks for your help. Called the dealer and they say the number is on a module some where in the back? But dont know where.Local dealer said for 40.00 bucks they can get the code.But I bought the truck from a ford dealer about 60 miles away they said bring the truck in and they will code it for free.Two hours driving and gas talk about a rock and a hard place.
