HID trouble

Hey Guys- I recently bought a 55W HID kit from riverside motor sports on ebay. The install was very fast and quick. The only problem i am having is that when i turn the lights on, the initial burst happens and then the passenger side light goes out and the driver side light stays on. What i have ended up doing is turning the lights on, letting the one warm up, then 5-10 seconds later i turn the lights on and off again and then the passenger side light goes on.

So my question is what the hell is the problem with my lights? i checked the ground connection and it is fine. Is it possible its an internal problem? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks Guys!!!

I had a similar issue once before and I had to have mine exchanged. The igniter was defective.

you need to run a relay to the lamps....running directly off the stock harness, the ballast will get the initial "hit" but do not get enough juice to get the lamps warmed up and ballast charged...one of the ballast that is not getting enought cuts out....

YOU NEED A RELAY

X2 on the relay, but you should probably look for something made by Hella or Phillips, much better quality and reliability. You pay what'cha get on ebay.

Your ballasts arent getting enough juice to fully ignite both bulbs because the stock electrical is weaksauce and the ballasts require a lot of power to turn on.

You need a direct relay to the battery. Take care of this soon or else your ballasts are going to be damaged.
