I have a 2003 F-150 Ext Cab. The doors are locking when I turn the key to start it. This has just started in the last couple of days. Any ideas as to why? Help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Have you just disconnected and then reconnected the Battery in the last couple of days? Lost complete Power for some reason?
It sounds as if you have re-programmed the Auto Lock function.. which may have been disarmed.

 

I have not had the battery cables off. They are clean and appear to be making good contact. As soon as I turn the key to the start position, the doors lock. This could present a problem if the truck was started with the door opened and you got out and closed the door.

 

Sunday morning the battery died. Put in a new battery and now the door locks are working correctly.
