Buckle your seat belt before you sit down.

search it on google. Theres a loooong process. I did it to my truck and it works. You have to buckle and un buckle your seat belt like 9 times then do it again or something.

Well, I found the answer....
You can Deactivate the Belt Minder two ways. First, you can deactivate it temporarily for your current "run cycle", that is after you have started your car and it's still running. Second, you completely deactivate the Belt Minder so that it never reminds you again, or at least until your reactivate it...

The first method, temporary deactivation, or one time disable: After you have started your vehicle, buckle and then un-buckle your safety belt. Be sure to buckle back up.... This will disable the Belt Minder only for that ignition cycle.

The second method, permanent deactivation: There are 9 steps you need to follow to deactivate or activate your Belt Minder system. Before doing so, make sure that:
The parking brake is set.
The truck/car is in Park (automatic), Neutral (manual).
The ignition is OFF.
All doors are closed.
The driver's safety belt is un-buckled.
The parking and headlights are OFF.
Then follow these 9 steps:

Turn the ignition switch to ON, but DO NOT START.
Wait for the safety belt warning light to go OFF(1-2 minutes).
Steps 3-5 MUST be completed within 60 seconds!

Buckle, then un-buckle the driver's safety belt 3 times, ending with the belt un-buckled.
Turn on the headlights, turn off the headlights.
Buckle, then un-buckle the driver's safety belt 3 times, ending with the belt un-buckled.
After step 5, the Safety Belt Warning Light will be turned on for 3 seconds.

Within 7 seconds of the safety belt warning light turning OFF, buckle then un-buckle the safety belt.
This will disable the Belt Minder if it is currently enabled, or enable the Belt Minder if it is currently disabled.

Confirmation of the disabling of the Belt Minder is provided by flashing the safety belt warning light 4 times per seconds for 3 seconds.
Confirmation of the enabling of the Belt Minder is provided by flashing the safety belt warning light 4 times per seconds for 3 seconds, followed by 3 seconds with the safety belt light off, then followed by flashing the safety belt light 4 times per second for 3 seconds again.
After confirmation, the deactivation/activation of the Belt Minder procedure is complete.

The instructions seem to be correct. I did both my F150 and mustang....you may have skipped a step. I actually printed out the isntructions to make sure I was doing right.

I didnt have to do anything with the lights when I did my truck or my friends heritage or my bros 05screw. If I remember right you wait for the light to go off then buckle and unbuckle it 9 times ending with it unbuckled. Then after it flashes, buckle and unbuckle it again. then you get the 4 times in 3 second confirmation. I didn't set the parking brake either? I read it out of my owners manual. Mine is 04nbs, friends 04 heritage, bros 05 screw. Maybe it is different outside of those years? Also, you have to do the sequence in the driver seat and again in the pass seat. (if you want to disable for both seats)

I think I may have read this in a newspaper headline once. This is the most permanent way to stop the seat belt reminder chime.

Drive the car,truck,suv,mini-van, whatever without wearing your seat belt. Accelerate the vehicle until you reach 100-150 mph. Then steer the vehicle directly towards a tree or concrete barrier of some sort. Any solid, immovable object will probably work. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, APPLY THE BRAKES!

After this procedure has been followed, you will, in all probability, never have to worry about wearing a seat belt again.

Yup, that's me. Keyword being 'SMART'.

I always wear my seatbelt, which stops the chime from sounding. Next thing you guys are going to want to know is how to disconnect the airbags and turn off the anti-lock brakes. Hell, let's use regular glass in all the windows. Who needs this 'safety glass' crap.
