That frikken dinger!

My 08 f150 has (as did my 02) this real annoying dinger thing intended to remind me to put on my seat belt, and remind me ive left my keys in the ignition. (Im touched at fords concern for my dim wits) Im a contractor and often like to leave my truck door open to listen to music, but the dinger cant seem to keep to the beat. when i look under the dash, (in an attempt to rip that lil sucker out) the sound seems to be coming from everywhere. Soooooo....where is it? what does it look like? is there a less clumsy way to eliminate it than my attepts to rip it out?
Thanks!

check the owners manual to disable the seat belt reminder, and theres one of your problems done.

and second, when the door is open take a screwdriver and flip the latch up in the door so the door thinks it closed and then you can leave it open with no dinging. just dont forget to reopen the latch before you slam the door shut.
