Over Drive Button

My son has a 99 f-150 and the O/D button dose not work, Has anyone had this problem? Anything I can do to see if its the button or just take it to the dealer.

I would check the fuse before taking it in.

O/D button

Torkum,
Thanks, the fuse was blown but after replacing it , it happened again, I guess I'll take it to the shop or see how much an O/D button is and go from there

Blowing OD Fuse

I had the same problem


Based on recommendations from this site:

I just took the plastic off from around the steering column. Sure enough the shifter had worn away the insulation around the wire for the OD button. I just taped the hell out of it with electrical tape, put it all together again and it works perfectly.
