Is your belt slipping? How old and what brand serpentine belt do you have?

Most likely your alternator. If you don't get it fixed soon, you will be replacing your battery also.

I'd take the alternator off, and take it to Autozone. I'm pretty sure they do free alternator testing.

I wouldnt bother with the free testing I would bet someone elses next paycheck that it will test OK, because they spin the alternator at a lower RPM. The free alternator tests are a go-no-go test, meaning that the alternator is generating power or it not, the amount of power generated is not tested. So if your 100A alternator will only put out 1A it tests as good as it would if it put out 100A. Normally when the battery light comes on only at high rpm the cause is the brushes chattering on a worn rotor which lowers the output then once the rpm drops the brushes stop chattering and the output goes up and the battery light goes out.
