power tailgate lock wire color Q

I ran the wires on the drivers side instead of the pass side. Does this make the wire colors different? I installed a code alarm starter this year and I just tapped into the door lock wires from the starter. I used the pk/ye and pk/gn. Then the doors locks don't move. they click but no up or down, I switched wires and the same. Do I have the correct wire colors and does it matter what color from the lock goes to what color in the sill harness?

Not sure what your remote starter is looking for, so that might be correct, don't take this as that install is wrong.

The Pink w/ light green stripe is the unlock switch in to the BSM
The pink w/ yellow stripe is the lock switch in to the BSM.

The switch is not tied directly to the door looks like the <=2003 MY trucks, the BSM takes the input, and locks or unlocks the doors with the 2004+ MY trucks.

Depending on when you want the tailgate to unlock is depending on which color.

The BSM has an output for the Driver's front only, which is when you press unlock the 1st time on the Factory RKE ( don't know if you have this installed prior to the remote starter ). Then the second time the unlock button is pressed all the doors unlock. Again, this is factory RKE operation, not sure what operation you have with the code alarm install.

The driver's front door lock actuator is red w/ orange stripe & pink w/ black stripe wires.
The other 3 doors ( or 1 if not a SCrew ) is pink w/ orange stripe & pink w/ black stripe wires.

You will have to check polarity of your tailgate actuator, but it seems when pos is on pink w/ black stripe wire, this is lock.

Good luck

OK, Thanks!!! Yes, I had the factory rke. The wires for the Code Alarm where tapped per Travis's instructions. One press to unlock all doors, two presses just beep the horn. From the CA instructions, I see I have "one stage unlock" (I wonder if I can do two stage? maybe later.). Thanks again, I will post what wires work later.
