power door locks dont work
power door locks dont work
either with the key fob or the buttons on the door you can push them and it make the sound like its unlocking or locking but 95% of the time nuttin happens but 5% of the time i get luck and they work can someone please help me
The door lock actuators are shot, they need to be replaced you have two choices. go with oem ford ones (recomended or aftermarket ones) the oem fords ones aren't cheap but the newer replacement ones available now should outlast the rest of the truck. i can't speak for the aftermarket ones but they are half the price so you can figure out the rest
(POS). Any way when i did mine about a year ago i went the oem ford ones they were about $160 for parts and i put them in myself. first one took a few hours of fustration and second one went in about twenty mins. so they aren't hard if you know what your doing. if you decide to replace them let me know and i can walk you through installation
OEM Ford part # 6L3Z-25218A42-AA (part number is same on both left and right boxes, but they are different configurations)

I bought 2 actuators from best buy for $30.00. A little fabbing and all was good. It involves a bit of drilling and cutting and bending and soldering. If that is out of your league get the OEM actuators. They are basically plug and play.

Ok hey thanks alot you 2 but i guess seeing how i dont even know what this looks like or even where its located i guess im better off to take to a pro to have this done dontya think
i would give it a shot there really isn't that much too it, as JMC said it's basically plug and play. if your having doubts i would go with the ford drop ins though. even though JMC's idea sounds like a good way to save a couple of bucks if you don' mind a little extra work!
