keyless entry 2000 f150

Just wondering if all trucks are prewired for keyless entry even if not ordered with it. My 2000 does not have it and I thought I would be able to intstall the one outa my 2001 parts truck.I started to remove the module but could not find the corrisponding harness in the 2000. Anyone know if its there or if i can swap harness and all outa the 2001. Thanx in advance for any info.Great site this is like only the second time I had to post ,usually can find everthing I want by just searching.

You will need the wiring pin from the RAP to the door for your 2000 from the 2001.
The 2001 might have been at a build date that the CSM was swapped into production, and the pins might not 1 to 1 the same, so pulling the complete harness and trying to install it in the 2000 might not work correctly.

Trucks built before 2-OCT-2000 have RAP module installed, trucks built after 2-OCT-2000 have a CSM installed in them to give you an idea of the cut off date.

Here are some directions on wiring the door key pad into the RAP in a 2000 :

Good luck
