Accident/ticket waiting to happen
Heres my idea or a few anyway. I installed some after market lights a while back. In doing so, it had L.E.Ds in the tail lights. I ran constant power to the rear for them. After realizing I didn't like the way they looked, I put the stock tail lights back in, capping off the wires I ran.
So after complete boredom an idea struck me. I got to thinking of all those days when you are baking up and you cant see behind you. My reverse lights aren't too bright. I thought about running some lights off that power with a toggle switch and a fuse break.
I also though it would be kind of nice to run some lights under the rails of the bed to have some light to use when you are working at night or trying to find something in my tool box when its dark out.
Also, be kind of cool to blind everyone behind me. Just kidding - or am I ?
The toggle would be to turn the lights in the bed on and off. Also, another toggle for the reverse lights. Don't get me wrong though, I dont mean like a set of fog lights in the rear, nothing that dang bright. Nothing brighter than when your parking lights are on in the front. That night orange/yellow hue...
I'd just draw power from that tail lights because the line is already ran, so all I'd have to do is run a loop in perspective.
Anyone else thought of anything or done something like this?
That L.E.D bar between the bumper and bed people use as a extra brake light is what got me thinking.
