'04 Headlight Issue

I have an '04 Lariat, and I have replaced the headlights because I thought that there was a bulb problem because the passenger side bulb seems to be a little dimmer then the right one. When you first turn the lights on, they are both the same, but after a minute or two, the right one just doesn't seem as bright, any ideas? Thanks!

Did you check the ground wire on that side yet ?

When you say doesn't seem as bright, is it a big difference, as in DRL dim, or just slightly ?

Are these factory bulbs, or aftermarket bulbs ?

AHve you switched the bulbs left to right ?

i didn't even see that you answered my thread, I checked the ground wire, and it seemed nice and snug, when I say not as bright, i mean slightly, not drl dim, they are ford factory bulbs, and i have tried switching the bulbs, and i even bought new ones

Yellowfin- Since you have a Lariat I'm sure you have automatic headlights. Have you tried switching from auto to manual (sitting in place) at night? Auto goes through a relay that drops a little of the amperage. Actually, on auto they are probably going through 2 relays, 1 for the auto and 1 to carry the load. If you turn the ignition on at night, your headlights will come on. Then turn the switch on and you will notice that your headlights get a little brighter because it is not having to go through the auto relay. Maybe you have a weak relay in the system. Let us know how it turns out.

How did you check the ground? Grounds are notorious for "tear your hair out problems" I always loosen the ground a little, swing back and forth to "scrub" the surface and retighten well.
