Airbag Light

I have an 04 with some beard suspension seats in it and obviously there are no plugs in the new seats. So now my airbag light stays on. How can I fix it so it goes off. And also if I were to get into a wreck does that mean no airbag deploy?

Those plugs tell the airbag computer where the seat is located so it knows how much power it needs to deploy the airbags with. If your sitting with the seat alot closer to the steering wheel it deploys with less force to lessen the impact on you, and if you're sitting further back more force. It has 2 charges in the steering wheel. A 60% and a 40%. It can release a 40% charge if you are sitting close to wheel. A 60% if you are sitting in the middle. And 100% if you're all the way back.

The airbag will still go off with the plugs disconnect, but it will default to a certain power setting (I'm not sure which one)

I'm not sure if there is a way to disable it but i doubt it.

Same thing applies. If I were you I would talk to ford about it. Better to be safe then sorry. Those things save lives, I've seen it first hand.
