I have an 04 STX and I want to swap clusters so I can have a tack. Would all the plugs be there to do it or would it be alot of work?

Hey again!

You would need to bring the old and new cluster into Ford so they can sync the new cluster up to your vehicles computer. Some places will do it and others will not. It ends up being quite a hastle.

Try using the search feature on these forums it will answer most of your questions.

I don't know the exact price because most ford dealers won't do the swap. They can't reset the odomiter, but they can send it in to get reset but its going to keep jacking the price up. Go talk to your dealer about it.

PS: Typing in all caps means your yelling in online speak

Sorry bout the caps. Was doing a little engineering work on draw when I was making that post and forgot to turn off the caps....lol

So realistically I am capable of doing all the labor myself, I just merely need for to match up that PATS system, but it sounds from your post I need to send in this new odometer first to get the mileage reprogrammed.....Man this is turning into more of headache....surely I can find some where to set that odometer for me. My truck is fairly low mileage so it's not like I'm trying to fraud or anything....Guess I'll just have to go to the dealer and see what's up.

Thanks for the info and help....

Matt
