Pass Window is stuck down!!! Yikes!
Now I have ghetto-ified my F150. The passenger window is stuck in the down position, and I have trashbags taped over the opening.
Simply put, when I hit the button, nothing happens.
On the Driver's window, I hear a click near the fuse box. I found two mother of fuses where the clicking was coming from. Swapped those to see if the windows would be swapped, but still the drivers worked, and the passenger doesn't.
So, on the driver's window, there's a click, on the passenger, there isn't.
Ideas? This is driving me nuts!

That click is a relay not a fuse. First thing to do is check all fuses and relays. Did you try both the switch on the drivers door and the switch on the door that’s not working. I would do both these first. If still not working take interior door panel off. Unplug the motor and see if your getting voltage at the plug. And you could move the switch up/down to see voltage is being sent.
If getting voltage at plug you need a motor. Hope this helps.
Even if the pass motor is shot you should still hear the relay clicking because everything before the motor should be operating properly. Did you make sure there isnt any other fuse related to the windows? Bang the switch usually if its a switch problem it will work after being banged. Then you know its a switch.

thanks for the quick reply. The buttons on both doors don't work. Where would I find the fuse? I checked all the little fuses in the fuse box by the steering column.
Tell me if I'm wrong here. I assume that if the motor is bad, the relay will still click. Is this not the case?

What year truck do you have? There should be a fuse box under the hood as well. I would check your owners manual just to make sure and see if there is a fuse before that relay.
I used to work for Hyundai and some of their cars had the all the windows tied into the master switch so if that was shot you would have a bigger problem like other windows not working. Im not sure how these switches are wired but did you try banging the switch yet?

I'll check under the hood. Yes, I tried beating the switch, and then my wife did too, just in case I didn't do a good enough job
I checked out an owners manual and it looks like there is only a MAXI relay #110 for power windows and and auto power window relay. A real service manual would be better with showing exactly all the circuits on a fuse. But if the fuse is clicking with the drivers side it is good.
Make sure the switch on the drivers and pass door is completly plugged in. Otherwise im going to say it most likely needs a switch.

Alrighty... I just pressed the button, and now it works. At least it's now up and water can't get in. However...what went wrong?

Yesterday NEITHER button worked. Today, BOTH buttons work. If it was the passenger switch that went bad, wouldn't the Drivers switch work? Or, are they connected and reliant on each other somehow?

im gonna throw a twist in here and say that i think it could also be the passenger switch. if the passenger swtich runs through the driver/master switch, then the driver switch needs the passenger switch to operate properly.
ie. if you were to unplug the passenger switch from the harness and use the driver switch to move the window nothing will happen.
the switchs are setup similar to a "3 way switch" that you would have in your house in that both of them have to be working to work at all.
it could also be the ground in the door as well. if the ground connection is loose or cracked then it could be in and out of operation. and if the ground is not connected you wouldnt here the relay either because the circuit is not closed.

Thanks for the useful information. The same thing happened to my passenger window on my 1999 extended cab took a fit and stayed down. I must have hit the switch properly after about 15 minutes and the window started working. I think I will leave it in the up position for a while. And this past weekend I also replaced my battery for the second time. in almost 10 years of ownership.
