99 F250 LD Passenger window failure
Hello All,
Thanks in advance for any in-site or help on these problems.
New to site and is my first post. Im original owner of this truck, was purchased new Oct 1999 (end of yr model clearence). Is a 1999 F-250 Light Duty Supercab, 5.4L V8. Has been a great truck for me until recent electronic problem with the Cruise Control and Passenger side Power Window.
Passenger side Power Window failed to roll down about a month ago, is stuck in up position. The drivers side still works fine, as does both power door locks. Can hear a clicking sound when button switch is pressed, but won't move window? Does this mean I will need to access the regulator & motor, by removing the inside door panel?, I checked all the fuses in system and seem to be Ok? Are there any other checks that can be done before removing the door panel??
The truck only has 51,000 miles on it, The passenger side window has not been used (up&down) that much, compared with the drivers side (at least 3 to 4 times as much use), I would think it would have failed 1st.??
My other problem is the Cruise Control- It has stopped working completely?. It quit long before the window did ( about 3 mos ago) It was on the original recall way back, and had the fix installed (inline fused cable) by FMC Dealer to prevent the over-heat or fire potential. What can be checked on it, Other than taking to FMC?
Thanks
