when i bought my 08 f150 the dealer had installed and alarm but it wasn't added to the price. when we were doing the paperwork they wanted and extra $580 for the alarm. i told them to go ******* themselves anthey better remove it. anyhow the took out the module and left in the harness. mind you this is only the alarm, i still have the factory keyless entry. anyhow after looking around i have on order the ford remote start vss "gold" system and was wondering will the new system accept the harness that is still there? will i just need to wire in the remote start? any suggestions would be helpful.

 

I would have to say that it should work and you will just have to add the remote start portion....

Just for insurance I would check the wire colors in the manual for the new one and make sure they are in the right pin positions and color.
