Question electrical issue with wipers and 4x4

I posted this a few weeks ago haven't heard anything...

But... here's the deal... I have a 97 f150 4x4... I bought it back in jan and being that it's winter up here I had it in 4wH and the delay portion of the wipers worked just fine. Now that the roads are usually dry I no longer need to be in 4wh and my delay wipers don't work, unless I use the fast, faster, and fastest setting... I don't understand how my 4wd shifter would affect the delay portion of my windshield wipers, being that it's not electronic 4wd. When I do select 4WH my Low lamp turns on briefly, which also doesn't make much sense to me either. I know it's not the GEM because I was having issues a few months ago, only to find out it was a Superchip gumming up my PCM, and replaced the GEM. I still had the same issues with the replacement GEM as I did with the original module, so i know it's not the GEM. If anyone had had this issue and knows how to correct this issue please let me know.

thanks

have you ever had you MFS (multi function switch) replaced? i know its a common problem, with the tilt wheel and all.

as for the low light, im at a loss. and why your delay works only in 4H.

i understand what you say when you dont have a electronic 4H switch, but the light on the dash has to somehow get turned on so theres a switch and wires somewhere.

try the MFS.

The multi-function switch has not been replaced to my knowledge... The switch works when I shift my truck, a mechanical 4x4, from 2wd to 4wd, and the wipers will work on the delay settings... but the second I take it out of 4wd they stop. That is what I'm trying to correct... I don't see how the MFS would work in 4wd but not 2wd
