im not an electical expert but did you possibly get any water in the door or do you think the conection is bad? loose wire? remove the door panel and check, possible bad windo regulator or motor.

Sounds like the power window motor took it's leave.

Take a read through this thread, and see if the symptoms are similar enough.

Easy to remove and check with the percussion adjustment, some times that lasts years, others weeks.

Good luck

Suggestion: Considering the fact that you do have motion on lifting the window it may be the "Express-Down" module. That is the module that initiates a full down move when the window switch is held for 5-10 seconds. On most models is under the dash somewhere near the Relay/Fuse Access Panel.
There is a relay in in your fuse relay panel that is controlled by this module. If you are technically inclined you can (and should) remove and clean all of the relays in your electrical box.

Now second suggestion is related to the first, but the fault might be binding of the window slightly caused by worn window slides.
The resistance to motion caused by the window binding will cause a "window-stop" signal within the Express-Down module. This causes the module to shut down immediately. The binding of the window must be immediately relieved.
My resolution to this problem was to perform Suggestion #1, and then carefully spray Lithium Based lubricant along the window's slide rails. The felt material in the slide rails wears out eventually, and worn rails cause binding against motion. Lithium based lubricant is essentially water proof, does not drift from where it is sprayed. However most Lithium based lubes are "white" in appearance when applied. You will have to perform a clean up with alcohol after if needed.
I can provide a simple procedure for cleaning relays if you need, but essentially you can carefully disassemble the relay's case from the bottom pins ; which exposes the enclosed contacts.
Once removed spray clean using only approved "Electrical Contact Cleaner" spray, and not Brake or Carb. Cleaner.

I have done this and have found it works.
Have a nice wknd.
