Air bag light
Hey eveyone! How do you check the code for the air bag system without a code reader? Yesterday I pulled the seats out of my 02 F150 to install my stereo system, and now the air bag blinks and will not shut off.
Thanks

Count the blinks to get the two-digit fault code.
If 27, you either accidentally busted the bulb in the PAD assy, a common occurrence, or left it unplugged.

Okay, this is really irritating me. When the light blinks, it blinks 4 times then pauses, then blinks again 7 times, then pauses and repeats that sequence over again. I had a buddy of mine put his fancy little scan tool on it today, but that came back with no codes. Any Ideas.
Thanks

I suggested that as a possibility since an audio "system" install also typically involves the head unit. Messing with it often disturbs the PAD circuit and is a commonly resulting fault.
Now that we have the actual Lamp Fault Code (LFC), we can focus on the actual system problem.
LFC 47 indicates there is excessive resistance in the passenger-side belt pre-tensioner circuit.
Disconnect the battery and wait one minute to disarm the SRS.
Inspect and reseat the connectors at the RCM and at the passenger-side belt pretensioner.
Anything else, I'd refer to a dealer. Mucking about with the system without the proper safety training, tools, and testing equipment is likely to place the mucker in personal danger of severe events.

Glad it turned out to be an easy fix.
