I have a 2004 lariat supercrew. The dealer told me that the cause of my electrical problems is because my viper command start has fried part of the Body Security Control module. Its the module located behind the rear seat.

Its $1000 for the dealer to replace...If I buy one from the wreckers, can i just plug it in? or does it have to be programmed?

I know that my door code will change...but will my (Ford) keyless entry work?

(BTW I'm abandoning the viper command start system...junk)
