in my 02 i have a roof console you know the garage door remote holder and sunglass holder and it also has a compass on it and was just wondering if it has any other functions because it has the "select" button and i was wondering if it did anything other than turn the compass on and off

 

Have the same gizmo in my 03 XL Sport.

Temp and compass. That should be all. Just a substitute for the uppity level trim rear view mirror that gives out the same info.

 

My overhead console in my 03 just went out the other day. Any advice on how to fix this?

 

take it apart you might find piece brocken off board solder back on and good to go thats what went wrong with mine 10 min fix
