Rear slider quit?

Rear slider quit?

all of a sudden my rear window slider quit working.the manual says its on the 30a breaker with the power windows and the sunroof.i pulled the fuse out and like normal they all quit working so i guess something else is wrong? anyone have any ideas on what to check

If you've got the power rear slider... my dad had that in his 94, I would hope the design has been changed but who knows. The motor in those are crap, his was changed out 3 times under warranty before he sold that truck.

Check the track to see if anything is in it, stopping it from opening.

Pull the rear seat back, and apply power directly to the motor, and see if it opens, if not reverse the polarity and see if it opens.

Listen for a hum on the motor when you apply power, could be the cable to the motor is bound up, and the motor is trying to move it ( same symptom if something was in the track stopping it ).

Those are the 2 things that I can think of that would narrow down the source fo the problem, the next steps are to move back towards the switch.

Directions ( build from members here ) on back seat removal for getting to the BSM/VSM to find the 5 digit factory code, you will see the rear slider motor in the same pictures.
