Verify that you re-connected the harness to the switch on the master cylinder.

If connected, look for an open pressure switch or open fused recall harness.

Same Problem

My cruise control also Quit working. I did have the recall done june 06, when i bought the truck.

In december i had both my rear axle seals repalced, and my parking brakes thats when i noticed that it quit working, also added CAI and replaced may IAC not sure if that helps.

Took it back to the guy who did the work and he said it wasnt his fault.

Its been cold here so i really havent messed with it until yesterday. I checked the plug on the front of the master cylinder and it was filled with brake fluid?? Not quite sure how it got there but it was. I took air to it and sprayed it out and still nothing??

Any Ideas??

Thanks

anyone else have an 02 truck with an 01 motor???

You have found the fault. The switch has failed and (probably) blown the fuse link in the harness.

The safety recall work did its job in preventing your truck from burning to the ground, which is all it was supposed to do

To repair, call your dealer parts department and ask them if they have the recall kit (05S28) available for your truck that contains both the harness and the upgraded pressure switch. You'll have to pay for them, but they are not expensive (around $20 for the parts).
